The SMP Life

This site will present my writings that are required as I navigate the Specific Ministry Pastor program within the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod.

If in fact the congregation votes this in this coming Sunday. I will begin with the essays that are required as part of the application process. I feel it necessary to make this available to the congregation that will so graciously make this next phase of my walk with God possible.

After (if) I gain acceptance to the seminary, I will do my best to post articles that pertain to my work in the program. Some will be actual assignments, some will be supporting research and others will be musings of mine as I come across those things that will have a significant impact in my ministry.

And down the road maybe I’ll even post sermons or other teachings that I will have the privilege to write and deliver.

I’m looking forward to this blog helping to keep my constituents informed and as record of my progress through the program!

Thank you for coming along on this journey. I was advised by a dear friend of mine to not get so focused on the outcome of all of this, that I don’t allow myself to enjoy this journey. I’m going to do my best to take heed of that advise!
